Monica Valencia named PSJD Finalist

The Public Service Jobs Directory (PSJD) asks universities to nominate a law student who exemplifies a true commitment to pro bono work. In 2016, Monica Valencia was nominated by the Dean's office at the University of San Francisco School of Law to be recognized for over 100 hours of pro bono work.

PSJD seeks to "recognize the significant contributions that law students make to underserved populations, the public interest community, and legal education by performing pro bono work."

Monica made the list of 10 finalists for the PSJD Pro Bono Award. "Congratulations to all of the finalists and all of the students who were recognized by their law schools for their tremendous contributions to pro bono work." Although she did not win the award, being named a finalist is an accomplishment all on its own.
