The Keta Taylor Colby Death Penalty Project (KTC) is a very competative internship program offered by the University of San Francisco. Each year, students apply and interview for a spot on the team. Approximately 10 students are chosen to work with Capital Defense attorneys in the 'Deep South,' with offices in Texas, Arkansas, Lousiana, Mississippi and Tennesee.

Monica Valencia will spend her 2015 summer as a Law Intern in Jackson, Mississippi, working for Andre de Gruy, at the Capital Defense division of the Mississippi Office of the State Public Defender.
