Monica Valencia Becomes an Arthur C. Zief, Jr. Scholar

Unknown.jpeg

Monica Valencia was named an Arthur C. Zief, Jr. Scholar at the University of San Francisco. The scholarship amount of $10,000 will help defray USF law school tuition costs for the 2015-2016 school year. Mr. and Mrs. Zief endowed this scholarship to honor their son, Arthur, Jr., who was unable to attend USF as his father did (BA ‘41 and JD ‘47) due to a physical and mental disability. The Ziefs chose to honor their son in a tangible way by assisting current students who have actively contributed to the law school and who will continue their contributions as alumni. The purpose of their scholarship program is to help deserving students and to inspire them to maintain their school spirit and dedication for years to come.
